Doug Schonhorst - Agent/owner

Doug Schonhorst is an agent and co-owner/operator of General Insurance Agency. Doug is a lifelong resident of Huxley where he lives with his wife Lori, and two sons, Nolan and Nicolas. In 1998 he graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Doug has worked at General Insurance Agency since May of 2000. Doug’s hobbies include spending time with his family, exercising, gardening, and watching Iowa State football and basketball.

Mike Schonhorst - Agent/owner

Mike Schonhorst is an agent and co-owner/operator of General Insurance Agency. Mike is a lifelong resident of Huxley where he lives with his wife Jennifer. In 2002 he graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor in Science degree. Mike has worked at General Insurance in many capacities since he was a teenager, and has been working full time since November of 2004. His insurance related interests include commercial insurance risk evaluation and, of course, personal homeowners and auto insurance.

Margo Lovig started with General Insurance Agency in the fall of 2001. She and husband Allen have lived in Huxley for over thirty years. Margo’s experience is in the Auto and Homeowners lines of Insurance. |

Ron Helland
 |
Ron Helland has been in the financial services industry for better than 20 years. Ron has experience in a vast array of financial products including Life, Health, and Disability Insurance, 401k's, IRA's, Mutual Funds, and Annuities. Ron and his wife Carol along with their daughter Natalie live in Ames. |
